Well, if you are and you’re thinking about trying Latisse, today is your lucky day!  As I will be sharing with you, my secrets on how to make your Latisse last a bit longer!  I, however, recommend that you follow the instructions that have been prescribed to you by your physician, the first go around with this product.  But, afterward, these tips will allow you to make that bottle last longer, hence giving you more bang for your buck.  None the less, it’s essential to get all of the facts first on this product.  So here is a link. My Top Secret Tips To Making Your Latisse Last Longer

Bit 1:  The Brush.  The brush that comes with the Latisse is really thick, causing it (in my opinion) to waste a lot of the product.  Plus, if you are not careful, you can apply it to areas you don’t want it to be used.   My tip is to cut some of the bristles on the brush. By doing so,  it enables you to apply the Latisse to exactly where it should go; the base of the lashes.

Bit 2:  Use The Cap:  The directions indicate to apply one drop directly to the brush.  Well, that sounds easier than it really is.  My trick, to make sure none of the Latisse goes to waste, is to place a drop in the lid and dip the trimmed brush into the solution.  IMPORTANT: Per the safety instructions on the website, don’t allow the tip of the bottle or applicator to touch fingers or any other unintended surface, as contamination by common bacteria is known to cause infections.  This is why I recommend using finger cots.

Bit 3: Use The Brush More: The box only comes with 60 brushes to use.  But, if you follow the instructions above, you will need more brushes. This is why I use one applicator twice.  Nevertheless, you need to make sure that you sterilize it properly and let it air dry in a safely sanitized area. Another option is to buy some more brushes from a store or online. Unfortunately, additional ones are not sold from Latisse.  So, I've improvised with lipstick brushes that I bought on eBay, in packs of 100 for under $10.

DIY Tips For Long Eyelashes

Here is a Savvy Saturday makeup tip on how to get long lushes lashes. I love fake eyelashes, but it is
not something I recommend doing all the time. However, if you’re like me, lusting after long, full eyelashes, then you’ll love this D.I.Y. tip for long eyelashes.  This is a great savvy alternative to fake eyelashes or the expensive nylon fiber mascara's sold for lengthening. And yes, you may of heard me mention this tip before, but I've added a few more alternatives to this approach.

How To:

Step 1: Apply a single coat of a great lengthening mascara, one that separates your lashes. (Click here for that great lengthening mascara). This will allow for more adhesion of the below.

Step 2: Apply a thin layer of loose bronzer, baby powder or a loose dark eye shade. Depending on your hair/eyelash color, this will give you a light or dark option. These product options are the new alternatives to this approach, as having dark lashes already, the baby powder was more work for me. I found it was much easier to cover the color of the powder, if it was closer to the color of my eyelashes.

Step 3: Finish with 2 more coats of mascara and viola, you’ve now created your own miracle mascara routine.

Why Does This Work? Similar to fiber mascaras you find in the store; the baby powder, bronzer, or loose shadow, will add fullness to your lashes by enabling the mascara to adhere to it. Giving you fuller, thicker, more dramatic lashes, at minimal cost.

About: I use all kinds of methods to achieve long lashes, but this is one of my favorites loves.  Unlike traditional eye lash curlers that when not used correctly can pinch your eyelids or pull out your lashes, this one is fool proof.  It curls in seconds lifting and curling the lashes with heat.   Simply turn it on and use as if you are putting on mascara.  Unlike a traditional non heated, eyelash curlers where using mascara is not a good idea. You can use this one before or after mascara application, definitely worth lashing out about!

Is it safe?  Yes it is.  Prior to using this, I used to heat up my eyelash curler with a quick blast of warm hair from the hair dryer, which can sometimes be risky if you’re in a hurry.  The, is quick and safe!
